Monkeypox Vaccines Arriving In The Rio Grande Valley
Texas health officials have started shipping a limited number of monkeypox vaccine doses to the Rio Grande Valley, which could arrive as early as this week.
According to a release by Hidalgo County, “health officials from all four counties have decided to begin making the vaccines available beginning early next week.”
The release says that information on how “high risk residents” can obtain the vaccines will be provided at a later date.
There have been no officially confirmed cases of monkeypox in the Rio Grande Valley or south of the border in northern Tamaulipas, Mexico.
However, 780 cases have been confirmed in other parts of Texas.
