On Tuesday, a Mexican National in CBP custody was shot inside Ysleta Station-El Paso. According to reports, he was transported to a hospital and died hours later. There is no confirmation yet on what exactly occurred inside. The FBI is now leading an investigation into the incident.

On Wednesday, El Paso ABC affiliate KVIA published audio from Broadcastify of the 911 call placed after the incident.

From the 911 call audio:

We have a 33-year-old male coming from Border Patrol. He has multiple GSWs (gunshot wounds). He has approximately 5 or 6 GSWs (gunshot wounds) with entry wounds, unknown exit wounds. 33-year-old male, unconscious, still breathing at this time. We have an IV established, currently showing (inaudible) on the monitor. I’m checking his blood pressure, we’re attempting to do an entry tube. (Inaudible) location proximally 2 to 3 minutes. Do you copy? Last blood pressure obtained is 72 over 28.
